(More customer reviews)I bought the headphones hoping to quiet the environment around me while I program computer applications. These headphones don't filter any outside noises, only half of an air conditioner duct noise. On the plus side, when turned them on and listened to music, the headphones produce music like I have never heard before! I am not sure about the added expandable headband as it goes against the grain in your hair. I plan to keep the headphones for my portable CD player, but for noise cancellation, I am still shopping around. I gave the second star for the Sharper Image customer service. I had an issue with shipping and they resolved it immediately. Always shop the Sharper Image, but opt for the higher priced headphones.
