(More customer reviews)I saw these headphones in the movie 500 Days of Summer, and really liked the retro style. I'd been meaning to replace some of my older ones, and thought these would be a nice addition. After doing some research, I read some good and bad things - some people said the sound quality was bad, some people said it was good. I decided to throw caution to the wind and just pick some up. Big mistake.
They look really cool, the design seems sturdy and very wearable. However, the sound quality was terrible. I'm no audiophile, but I do have experience with good headphones. And I'm not kidding when I say my iPod earbuds sound better and have infinitely more clarity than these did. At first, I actually thought there might be something wrong with them. Everything was super muddy and impossible to enjoy. I even sent them back to the manufacturer to get them checked out, thinking naively that there's no way a $75 pair of headphones could sound that bad. Well, they sent me back a new pair, which sounded just as bad and also had a balance problem (70% of the volume was coming out of the right can). I finally gave up on them and sent them back. Unfortunately for me, sending them around the country to get repaired and then returned ended up costing about $30.
So here's the bottom line. If you really want a good pair of headphones, steer clear. The people that say they sound bad aren't lying. They look fantastic, and that's about it. All the money was spent on the design.
